Brains of the RCare Solution

Like the brain of a nervous system, the Cube is the center of the RCare solution. All signals from wireless devices are processed and acted upon by this hardened, military-grade, Linux-based computer. In addition to issuing a variety of notifications, the Cube also does reporting,  aggregating all data and providing it to your staff, securely, through any web browser anywhere in the world.

The Cube comes in three flavors, each with additional features on top of a core set of common functionality.

MCube

Mobile Enabled Solution

The MCube, the most advanced and powerful of RCare’s offerings, combines the monitoring, emergency, and voice-to-voice technologies of the VCube with the RCare Mobile system. This next generation technology gives the power of information to administrators, allowing them to make decisions based on actual staff response times and outcomes.

RCare Mobile

RCare Mobile utilizes smartphone-like handsets through which caregivers receive alerts as well as detailed resident information and location. They allow voice and text communications with other staff including the “I Got It” button, letting other staff know who is responding to the call. Handsets are equipped with NFC chips allowing responders to check in and out of the point of care as well as document what services they performed. All of this gives care managers detailed reports on who is calling and when, who is responding and how long it takes to do so, what services are being performed and for how long. This kind of knowledge makes for easy staffing optimization and high efficiency across the community.

Flexibility

Each Cube provides a wide range of notification options. It interfaces easily with computers (Mac or PC), tablets, paging, radios, text messages, smartphones, handsets (analog, digital, and IP) as well as the central station. This provides your caregivers and administrators the flexibility to match the solution to your needs and processes, not vice-versa.

Reliability

All of RCare's Cubes are built to last using industry best practices. From using a time-tested Linux operating system to installing RAID1 hard drive arrays to allow continued operation after hardware failure, reliability has been central to the Cube's design from day one. Couple that with centralized remote monitoring systems that allows RCare's techs to know about any issue that might arise and you have system that can simply work.

Access Anywhere

Once the Cube is on a network, any network-connected device can access it. From smartphones and iPads to ancient computers from 1993, if it's got a browser, you can access your Cube.

Ease of Use

Technology is only effective if your staff can use it. The Cube interface has no hidden menus or options, and everything is spelled out in an easy to understand, straightforward manner. RCare also provides a full featured e-learning suite to train your staff.

Remote Support

All Cubes come with the option for remote support. This enables support technicians to troubleshoot any system remotely, and saves time and money on service calls. This feature can also be used by the facility staff to check in on residents, run metrics reports, and search past incidents.

VCube

Voice Enhanced Solution

The VCube builds upon the RCube powerful features by adding voice-to-voice communication. It still provides verifiable information used in locating, assisting, and communicating with residents and caregivers for routine monitoring and during local medical emergencies. Additionally, voice functionality of any kind is built in, from integration to analog phones, digital phones, IP phones, and voice to voice with the RC-3900 In-Room Communicator (sold separately).

Voice-to-Voice

The V-Cube sets itself apart by allowing caregivers to talk directly to residents to determine appropriate response and to reassure the resident that help is on its way. Paired with the In-Room Communicator (RC-3900) it gives residents and caregivers alike the comfort of one on one communication and the assurance that the best possible methods are being used to ensure the call is handled in a timely and efficient fashion.

RCube

Base Solution

The RCube is the basic base station for RCare nurse call solution. It provides verifiable information used in locating, assisting, and communicating with residents and caregivers for routine monitoring and during local medical emergencies. Incident information is stored by the system and can be used to create reports for tracking, managing, facilitating and improving ongoing site operations. The RCube connects to the Master Receiver to receive all signals from the locator network such as alarms and maintenance signals.
